Introduction:
If you have not played before, read the Manual first. If you have Steam, a valid Half-Life 2 engine game, and want to play Empires on-line, download the client installer. If you want to host a dedicated server for others to play on, download the server installer.
Select this option if you want to read the Empires manual. It contains basic information on how the game is played and is recommended for all new players.
Select this option if you want to play Empires. You must have Steam installed and have a copy of a Half-Life 2 engine game (Half-Life 2, Episode 1, Orange Box, Counterstrike, Day of Defeat, etc).
Select this option if you want to run a dedicated server for Empires on either Linux or Windows. You must have Source Dedicated Server installed and have downloaded Half-Life 2 Deathmatch (hl2mp) for it.
